§ 10-28. Same—Forfeiture.

The amount of any such cash bond shall be subject to forfeiture and shall be forfeited to and retained by the city upon the failure of the person thereby bonded to appear before the court on the date and at the time so required of him to appear, either in person or by counsel, and no such forfeiture shall act or operate in any manner as a dismissal or other disposition of any case or the complaint therein, docketed or filed against the person therein charged with a misdemeanor offense.
