§ 12-26. General duties of electrical inspector generally.

  • It shall be the duty of the electrical inspector to enforce the provisions of this chapter. He shall, upon approval of the applications, grant permits for the installation, extension, or alteration of electrical conductors and equipment, and shall make inspections of all electrical work, as provided for in this chapter. He shall keep complete records of all permits issued, inspections and re-inspections made and other official work performed in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. He shall verify that all appliances meet Underwriters' Laboratories, Inc. specifications and requirements, and shall keep on file a list of inspected electrical appliances issued by Underwriters' Laboratories, Inc., which list shall be accessible for public reference during regular office hours.
