§ 12-54. Bond.
Each person, before receiving his license or renewal license as master electrician or as provided in this chapter, shall make, execute and deliver to the City of Eagle Pass' Building Department a corporate surety bond in the principal amount of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) payable to the City of Eagle Pass and submit to the city proof of general liability insurance for an amount of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) conditioned upon review by the city attorney and upon compliance with the provisions and regulations of this chapter and of the National Electrical Code, herein adopted for electrical work within the city. Such bond shall be executed and such liability insurance shall be submitted on a yearly basis.
NOTE: The bond and liability insurance requirements also apply to any master electrician currently operating under a license issued by the City of Eagle Pass.
