§ 12-61. Renewal of registration.
Every license provided for in this article shall expire at midnight on December 31, following the date of its issuance, and shall be renewed by the building department upon application and upon the payment to the city of the required renewal fee; provided, however, that if during the preceding year the applicant has been convicted of a violation of this chapter, it will be necessary for him to be re-examined by the City of Eagle Pass. Should any license lapse for more than thirty (30) days, the holder shall be considered as a new applicant, and the initial registration fee shall be charged.
Should the holder of a license take up another occupation or profession or otherwise indicate that he has abandoned his occupation as an electrician or contractor, even though he may apply for a license each year, he may be required to be examined every two (2) years in order to maintain his registration.
