§ 12-111. Specific permits.

  • Specific permits when issued shall apply to a specific installation, alteration, addition or replacement of electrical conductors or equipment to be done within a specific single building, structure or premises.

    The electrical inspector shall issue a specific permit for each installation and alteration of electrical conductors or equipment where application for such permit has been made in accordance with the requirements of this chapter; provided, that no specific permit shall be issued unless the person applying for such permit is registered as an electrical contractor or elevator and escalator contractor and has in his employ, at the time the application is made, a registered electrician; and provided, further, that the inspection fees shall be paid; and provided, that the right of a home owner to secure permits shall not be denied.
