§ 16-4. Declaration of policy and adoption of Texas Food Establishment Rules.

It is the policy of the City of Eagle Pass to promote the protection of the public health, safety and welfare by the regulation of food establishments operating inside the city limits. The provisions of this article are to be construed according to the fair import of their terms to affect this policy.

The city hereby adopts and incorporates by reference the rules set forth in "Texas Administrative Code Title 25, Chapter 228" (state rules) as may be amended for the regulation of food establishments in the City of Eagle Pass, a copy of which is attached to ordinance number 2016-09 and entitled Texas Food Establishment Rules—October 2015, a true and correct copy of which is located in the office of the city secretary.
