§ 16-65. Discharges of untreated water on property within city declared nuisance.

It shall be unlawful for the occupant or owner of any premises adjoining the city,
or the agent of the owner, if such owner be a nonresident, to cause, suffer or permit
any water to be discharged or flow upon property within the city in a manner that
is likely to cause such water to collect, stand or stagnate upon property within the
city, in which water mosquitoes breed, or are likely to breed, unless such collection
of water is treated in the manner prescribed in section 16-64 so as to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes, and any such discharges or flowing of
water into the city which water subsequently collects, stands upon or stagnates upon
property within the city, is declared to be a nuisance. It shall be unlawful for the
occupant or owner of any premises adjoining the city, or the agent of the owner, if
such owner be a nonresident to cause, suffer or permit any water from a sprinkler
system to run into the street.
