§ 19-25. Notice and hearing to abate a nuisance.
(a)
Prior to a determination by the city council to abate a nuisance by condemnation and removal, a public hearing shall be held. Notice to all interested parties shall be mailed (using U.S. first class mail) to the last known address of all parties having a legal interest in the alleged nuisance, and the same notice shall be punished in the official newspaper of the city. Mailing and publication of the notice shall take place not less than ten (10) days prior to the hearing.
(b)
The form of the notice shall be as follows:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all persons having a legal interest in ___________ (description of property) ___________ and all other interested persons that the City Council of the City of Eagle Pass shall conduct a hearing on ________ (date of hearing) _______ to determine if such above described property constitutes a nuisance and should be abated by condemnation and removal.
