§ 1-7. Aiding or abetting.
The prohibition of any act in this Code, and in any rule or regulation adopted hereunder, shall include the causing, encouraging, procuring, securing, aiding or abetting of another person to do such act.
(a)
Any person, firm, corporation or association of persons causing, encouraging, procuring, securing, aiding or abetting any other person to violate any provision of this Code to commit any act prohibited in this Code or in any rule or regulation adopted under this Code, shall, in all cases not otherwise expressly provided for in this Code, be punishable upon conviction in the same manner as such other person as a principal offender.
(b)
Without limiting the general application thereof, the foregoing provisions of this section shall apply to the parent, guardian or person in charge of, or having custody, care or control of or over, any child or other person who by reason of age or otherwise cannot be punished as an offender; and the prohibited physical presence of, or the possession and use by, any such child or other person (so immune from prosecution) of the firearm, weapon, vehicle or ignition key thereof or any other instrumentality or thing, prohibited as or employed in the violation or offense charged, shall be prima facie evidence of the sufferance, causing, encouraging and aiding in the commission thereof by such parent, guardian or person so charged and punishable as in said section provided.
