Article I. PERMIT FOR ITINERANT MERCHANTS AND VENDORS |
§ 20-14. Appeals from decisions of the planning department.
If the applicant for a permit under this article or the holder of such a permit is dissatisfied with any finding of the planning department, he or she shall have the right to appeal to the city council by filing a written notice of such appeal with the planning department within ten (10) days from the making of such decision by the planning department and paying the appeal fee of twenty five dollars ($25.00). Upon the filing of such notice of appeal, the application for the permit and all papers possessed by the planning department in connection with such application and such permit shall be delivered to the city council, and such matters as may be in dispute shall be heard by the council at its next regular meeting after the filing of the notice of appeal. The city council shall have the same powers and authority at such hearing on such appeal as is vested in the planning department by this article.
