§ 20-77. Limited occupation tax permit.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person or business entity to transact or engage in the business of second hand store or used clothing warehouse within the city without having first, upon compliance, obtained an annual permit with the following provisions:

    (1)

    Application; information to be shown. An applicant for a permit under this article shall make request in writing addressed to the city tax collector. Said application shall contain the name(s), residence and street number of the individual owner(s) of the business, partnership and officer(s) of a corporation.

    (2)

    Application to contain provision relative to compliance with ordinances. The application shall be subject to all the provisions and regulations of this Code and other ordinances of the city related to second hand stores and used clothing warehouses.

    (3)

    Issuance of permit. The city tax collector shall issue a permit upon compliance by the applicant with the terms, provisions, and regulations of this article.

    (4)

    Permit fees. The annual permit fee under this article shall be fifty dollars ($50.00) and shall be paid at the time permit is issued.
