§ 22-91. Multi-purpose center.

  • The City of Eagle Pass shall make available to its citizens the use and rental of the multi-purpose center, a city-owned facility, for noncity events and/or activities during noncity use periods. The city council hereby establishes the use of the multi-purpose center, and approves and adopts the user/rental schedule of fees to be assessed and collected by the city as set forth herein below in this section:

    (1)

    All user/rental scheduled fees incurred herein shall be assessed upon all persons and entities requesting and/or receiving such services as well as their successors, assignors, executors, representatives, and heirs.

    (2)

    The multi-purpose center user/rental schedule of fees shall be based on the following category:

    a.

    Non-profit functions (i.e. church and educational organizations (graduations), fundraisers for non-profit organizations, etc.) the non-profit category users shall pay the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) for use of the multi-purpose center. Users will be responsible for the set-up, tear-down and clean-up of facility. Failure to do so will result in additional clean-up fees. A copy of the 501c3 will be required.

    The multi-purpose center business hours are from Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The multi-purpose center is available for lease during weekdays and weekends. The rental hours for day use shall be 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Sunday through Saturday. The evening rental hours shall be from Sunday through Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The city shall provide users one (1) free hour after the event to cleanup and remove any noncity property from the premises. The city shall provide those tables and chairs available at the multi-purpose center to those users requesting the same be provided for.

    (4)

    Alcoholic beverages may not be served at the multi-purpose center.
