§ 25-64. Records to be kept by holder; report to be made.

  • Each holder shall maintain at a single location records of its taxicab business and operations. The following specific requirements are hereby prescribed:

    (a)

    Accurate records and receipts from operations and other operating information as may be required by the chief of police shall be kept and maintained. Every holder shall maintain the records containing such information and other data required at a place readily accessible for examination at all reasonable times by the chief of police.

    (b)

    Every holder of a taxicab permit shall submit to the chief of police promptly upon request a report of receipts, expenses and statistics of operation, in accordance with a uniform system approved by the chief of police.

    (c)

    Each holder shall submit to the chief of police promptly upon request such annual and monthly reports concerning its taxicab service as the chief of police determines necessary to evaluate the holder's operation. A permit holder shall submit reports of gross receipts in the form and at such times as are requested by the chief of police.

    (d)

    Every holder shall submit to the chief of police or his authorized representative reports on all accidents occurring outside the City of Eagle Pass and arising from or in connection with the operation of taxicab which result in death or injury to any person or in damage to any vehicle or any other property exceeding the sum of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) within twenty-four (24) hours from the time of such occurrence on a form or report prescribed by the city.

    (e)

    Every holder shall keep complete records of all automobile and other equipment, employees, including drivers, and records of insurance policies as are approved by the chief of police.
