§ 26-52. Procedure when meeting or overtaking stopped school bus.

The driver of a vehicle upon any of the public streets or highways within the city limits shall, upon meeting or overtaking, from either direction, any school bus which has stopped on the highway for the purpose of receiving or discharging any school children, stop his vehicle immediately before passing the school bus. After making such stop, he may proceed past such bus at a speed which is prudent and not exceeding ten (10) miles per hour, and with due caution for the safety of such children.
