§ 26-56. Following emergency vehicle or driving near scene of emergency.
The driver of any vehicle other than one (1) on official business shall not:
(1)
Follow any fire apparatus, traveling in response to a fire alarm, closer than one thousand (1,000) feet from such apparatus; or
(2)
Follow any ambulance or other emergency vehicle or rescue equipment traveling to or from any collision or accident or other emergency, closer than one thousand (1,000) feet from such ambulance or emergency vehicle or rescue equipment; or
(3)
Drive or park or leave any such unauthorized vehicle standing within any city block wherein any such fire apparatus or ambulance or other emergency vehicle or rescue equipment has stopped in attendance upon any fire, collision, accident, or other emergency.
