§ 26-101. Speed limit signs.

Whenever the speed limit of thirty (30) miles per hour, as prescribed by section 26-97, is, by the provisions of this article or other ordinance of the city council, increased or decreased at any intersection or other place or upon any part of a street, the chief of police shall erect appropriate signs giving notice of such speed limit, and no such limit shall be effective unless such signs are erected at such intersection or other place or part of such street.
