Article V. REGULATIONS AND FEES FOR DISCHARGE AND DISPOSAL OF TRUCKED OR HAULED LIQUID WASTES |
§ 27-177. Disposal site procedures.
(a)
Conformity to procedures required. All liquid waste transporters permitted hereunder shall follow the procedures required by the appropriate city, state, or federal authority when disposing of liquid waste is [in] registered or permitted disposal site[s] under the jurisdiction of such authority. Additionally, the following procedures must be followed by liquid waste haulers holding city waterworks system permits when disposing of grease trap waste, grit trap waste, and septage at one (1) of the city waterworks system-approved liquid waste disposal sites.
(b)
Disposal site entry/exit. City waterworks system permit holders shall exercise caution when entering and exiting disposal sites and shall obey all traffic-control regulations and especially speed limit signs and direction signs.
(c)
Disposal procedures. A city waterworks system permit holder shall not dispose of waste at the disposal site until authorized disposal personnel have done the following:
(1)
Inspected the permit holder's permit to see if it is still valid.
(2)
Verified that the manifest being presented by the permittee's employee is appropriate for both the classification of waste being transported and the vehicle tank capacity being used.
(3)
Signed the manifest and received the disposal site operator's copy of same.
(4)
Verified and collected the appropriate volume of trip tickets required for disposal.
A liquid waste transporter who fails to follow these procedures shall be in violation of this article.
