§ 2-19. Objectives.

  • The fundamental objectives of these personnel rules and regulations shall be:

    (a)

    To promote and maintain effective, efficient, productive and economical municipal service;

    (b)

    To provide fair and equal employment opportunities for all qualified individuals who enter city employment, free of personal or political considerations;

    (c)

    To set policies that will make municipal service attractive and to encourage each and every employee to render his/her best service to the city;

    (d)

    To promote and maintain high morale among city employees; and

    (e)

    To provide for continued employment subject to satisfactory performance of duties, adherence to these rules and regulations, and the availability of funds.
