§ 2-132. Youth coordinator; position created; appointment; duties; Standards of Care for Youth Programs.

(a)

There is hereby created the position of youth coordinator who shall be subject to the direction and supervision of the director of parks and recreation. The youth coordinator shall organize, supervise and be responsible for all city sponsored youth programs, including but not limited to those involving the use of physical properties of the city; and shall assist the director of parks and recreation in coordinating youth activities in city parks and community centers. The youth coordinator shall be appointed by the director of parks and recreation, subject to the approval of the city manager.

(b)

The youth programs operated by the city are recreational in nature and are not to be considered day care programs. The Standards of Care for Youth Programs, is hereby adopted as Exhibit "A", and shall be used as minimum standards by which the City of Eagle Pass Parks and Recreation Department shall operate the city's youth programs.
