§ 2-146. Assignment pay for police officers.

Police officers who are assigned to the following functions by the chief of police shall receive assignment pay in the amount indicated:

Motorcycle police officer, per month ..... $177.00

Canine police officer, per month ..... 177.00

Senior police officer, per month ..... 177.00

Each of the above assignments are specialized assignment within the Eagle Pass police department. The police chief or his designee assigns capable police personnel to each of these positions of responsibility in accordance with his or her demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with the job duties associated with the position.

The terms of this section and/or any payment of "assignment pay" do not apply to a member who is performing any of these duties on a "step-up" "acting" or any other temporary basis.
