§ 2-182. Public auction—Notice.

  • Notice of the time and place of sale of all property to be sold shall be posted in a prominent place at City Hall and published at least once on a date more than three (3) weeks prior to such sale. Such notice shall describe the property, state the name of the owner, if known, and the date and place to be sold. Thereafter such property shall be offered for sale at public auction to the highest bidder for each piece of property, or, if assembled in lots, at the discretion of the purchasing agent, for such lot. If offers as are made are deemed insufficient, the purchasing agent may reject and reoffer the property.
