§ 2-225. Representation of private interests.
(a)
Representation by a member of the board. A city official or employee who is a member of a city board or other city body shall not represent before that board or body any person, group, or entity.
(b)
Representation before the city. A city official or employee shall not represent any person, group, or entity, other than himself or herself, or his or her spouse or minor children, before the city.
(c)
Representation in litigation adverse to the city.
(1)
Salaried officials and employees. A salaried city official or employee shall not represent any person, group, or entity, other than himself or herself, and/or his or her spouse or minor children, in any litigation to which the city is a party, if the interests of that person, group, or entity are adverse to the interests of the city.
(2)
Non-salaried officials. A non-salaried official shall not represent any person, group, or entity, other than himself or herself, or his or her spouse or minor children, in any litigation to which the city is a party, if the interests of that person, group, or entity are adverse to interests of the city and the matter is substantially related to the non-salaried official's duties to the city.
