§ 2-250.20. Administration.

  • (a)

    The city secretary shall:

    (1)

    Provide guidance and assistance on the registration and reporting requirements for lobbyists and develop common standards, rules, and procedures for compliance with this subdivision;

    (2)

    Review for completeness and timeliness registrations and reports;

    (3)

    Maintain filing, coding, and cross-indexing systems to carry out the purposes of this subdivision, including:

    (A)

    A publicly available list of all registered lobbyists, lobbying firms, and their clients; and

    (B)

    Computerized systems designed to minimize the burden of filing and maximize public access to materials filed under this subdivision;

    (4)

    Make available for public inspection and copying at reasonable times the registrations and reports field under this subdivision;

    (5)

    Retain registrations and reports in accordance with the Local Government Records Act; and

    (6)

    Upon determining, whether through investigation of a complaint filed with the secretary's office or through sua sponte review, that a violation of the rules applicable to lobbyists may have been committed, forward information to the ethics review commission for the commission to determine whether to file a complaint and initiate an investigation.
