§ 6-160. Enforcement; interference with animal care officer, police.
(a)
The provisions of this chapter shall be enforced by the director, designated agents and the police department. It shall be a violation of this chapter to interfere with an animal control officer or a police officer in the performance of the officer's duties.
(b)
Interference is presumed when the owner, keeper, or harborer or possessor of an animal in non-compliance refuses to surrender the animal on demand to the animal control or police officers, provided that the demand is in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.
(c)
It shall be unlawful for a person to make a false complaint or report of an alleged violation under this chapter.
