§ 8-1. Fire limits defined.

  • The fire limits of the city shall include all that portion of the city encompassed within the below described boundaries:

    BEGINNING at the Rio Grande River on the south side of Ford Street, and running at the easterly direction along the south side of Ford Street, to the railroad track;

    THENCE, down the said G.H. and S.A. right-of-way, southward to a point where Rio Grande Street intersects said right-of-way;

    THENCE, westerly along the north side of Rio Grande Street, to a point where Madison Street intersects said Rio Grande Street;

    THENCE, southward along the west side of Madison Street to a point where Garrison Street intersects said Madison Street;

    THENCE, westerly along the north side of Garrison Street to a point where Ryan Street intersects said Garrison Street;

    THENCE, northerly along the east side of Ryan Street to a point where Rio Grande Street intersects said Ryan Street;

    THENCE, westerly along the north side of Rio Grande Street to the Rio Grande River;

    THENCE, northerly with the meanders of the Rio Grande River to the place of beginning.
