§ 8-18. Building permit fees.
(a)
[Permit fees.] On all buildings, structures or alterations requiring a building permit, a fee of five dollars ($5.00) per one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) value plus a permit fee of ten dollars ($10.00) shall be paid at the time of filing application, but such permit fee shall not be less than thirty dollars ($30.00).
(b)
Moving of building or structure. For the moving of any building or structure, the fee shall be sixty dollars ($60.00).
(c)
Demolition of building or structures. For the demolition of any building or structures, the fee shall be sixty dollars ($60.00).
(d)
Plan check fees. The following plan-checking fees shall be paid to the building department at the time of submitting plans and specifications for checking:
Additions and renovations ..... $ 15.00
New residential ..... 50.00
New commercial ..... 100.00
Anything over one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) in valuation one (1) percent of building permit fee.
(e)
Valuation of construction. The most current cost schedule as provided for and adopted by the Maverick County Appraisal District for tax assessment purposes of real property and improvements within the County of Maverick, State of Texas, is to be used in determining the valuation of all construction work within the city.
