§ 4-3. Filing for office.

Any person having the qualifications set forth for councilperson under Article III, section 3-2 of this charter shall have the right to file an application as prescribed by this charter or the laws of the State of Texas to have his name placed on the official ballot as a candidate for any elective office. Each such person filing his application to have his name placed on the official ballot shall in his application specify the place for which he desires to become a candidate.
