§ 15-36. Discontinuing service to unsafe piping or appliances.

The plumbing inspector shall shut off or cause to be shut off, all gas service in residence or business houses in the city where, in his judgment, the house piping or appliances are unsafe. The gas will remain shut off until such time as the unsafe conditions are corrected by the property owner or the fitter installing the same, and a certificate of inspection is issued by the plumbing inspector and a copy thereof furnished to the gas company, after which the gas company may restore the service.
