§ 15-53. Exceptions to prohibitions.

  • (a)

    The prohibitions contained in section 15-50 shall not apply to any such vehicle when the same is actually engaged in making delivery service of gas or liquefied petroleum to patrons at premises located outside the first fire zone in the city, nor to any such vehicle when the same is actually engaged in making delivery service of gasoline to wholesale bulk plants, retail service stations or garages, or other business establishments in the city; nor to any such vehicle when the same is actually engaged in the process of weighing at, or approaching or departing from, public scales therefore situated along or near any route or portion thereof, prescribed in section 15-51.

    (b)

    The prohibitions contained in section 15-52 shall not apply to any above-ground storage tank when the fire marshal issues a written finding that the installation and use of the tank conforms to the provisions of International Fire Code (IFC) and the requirements of the Texas Railroad Commission.
