§ 20-27. Misrepresentations prohibited; causing a child to solicit from occupants of vehicles prohibited.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to solicit or obtain alms or gifts in money or merchandise, directly or indirectly, by the misrepresentation of name, occupation, financial condition, social condition or residence.

    (b)

    It shall be unlawful for a person to knowingly cause a child fourteen (14) years of age or younger to stand on a traffic median, shoulder, improved shoulder or sidewalk and solicit, or attempt to solicit charitable contributions from the occupants of any vehicle on a roadway.
