§ 12-112. Permits for specific premises only.
In lieu of a specific permit for each installation or alteration, a permit shall, upon application therefore, be issued to any person regularly employing one or more electricians including a licensed master electrician for the installation, alteration, and maintenance of electrical equipment in or on a specific single building, structure or premises owned or occupied by the applicant for the permit. Any person employing one or more electricians as noted herein shall keep a log of all electrical, modifications, additions, etc. prior to approval of said permit.
Before such permit is issued to any person, he shall file with the electrical inspector an affidavit form of application as required and furnished by the electrical inspector. The application shall contain a description of the premises on which work is to be done under the permit, and the name of the master electrician to be appointed and employed to do the work.
The electrical inspector shall be notified in the event the master electrician is replaced by another master electrician who has qualified as required by this chapter. If the requirements of the annual permit as herein set forth are not met, or if the work is not done in compliance with this chapter, the electrical inspector shall suspend all the rights conveyed by such permit until such time as all deficiencies have been corrected or the permit expires. Notice of such suspension shall be in writing to the person to whom the permit was issued.
