§ 27-8. Connections to main lines, meters generally and inspection fees.

  • (a)

    Plats. All water service line connections (water meter included) from a water main line to the property line up to two (2) inches will be installed by Eagle Pass Water Works System (EPWWS). All water service line connections (water meter included) from a water main line to the property line over two (2) inches will be installed by a contractor/plumber approved by EPWWS (based on the list of approved contractors/plumbers approved by the City of Eagle Pass). The cost of all material, labor and associated fees (including water impact and water rights fees) required to effect the line connection shall be charged to, be the obligation of, and shall be paid by the property owner.

    Replats. All replat water service line connections (water meter included) from a water main line to the property line up to two (2) inches will be installed by Eagle Pass Water Works System (EPWWS). All water service line connections (water meter included) from a water main line to the property line over two (2) inches will be installed by a contractor/plumber approve d by EPWWS (based on the list of approved contractors/plumbers approved by the City of Eagle Pass).     All commercial water service line connections (water meter included) from a water main line to the property line up to two (2) inches will be installed by Eagle Pass Water Works System (EPWWS). All water service line connections (water meter included) from a water main line to the property line over two (2) inches will be installed by a contractor/plumber approved by EPWWS (based on the list of approved contractors/plumbers approved by the City of Eagle Pass). The cost of all material, labor and associated fees (including water impact and water rights fees) required to effect the line connection shall be charged to, be the obligation of, and shall be paid by the property owner.

    (b)

    Subdivisions. New subdivisions water service line connections from a water main line to the property line will be installed by a contractor/plumber approved by EPWWS (based on the list of approved contractors/plumbers approved by the City of Eagle Pass). The cost of all material (including water meter), labor and associated fees (including water impact and water rights fees) required to effect the line connection shall be charged to, be the obligation of, and shall be paid by the developer. Once a lot is sold, the property owner must come to EPWWS to request a meter be installed by EPWWS employees.

    (c)

    Inspection Fees. In addition to the costs incurred above, the property owner or contractor shall pay the EPWWS the sum of fifty dollrs ($50.00) for each inspected lot.
