§ 27-106. Water service conditioned upon system's ability to provide volume estimated and ability to provide reliable service; applicants for water service.

  • (a)

    The furnishing of water service to the territorial areas set out in section 27-105 above are conditioned upon the ability of the Eagle Pass Waterworks System to provide the volume of water estimated for customer use and the ability of the system to provide reliable service. Applicants for water service shall pay all reasonable and necessary costs relating to providing reliable service to the location for which application is made. Applicants shall comply with all provisions of the city Charter, Code of Ordinances, and with the service regulations and charges adopted by the board of trustees of the Eagle Pass Waterworks System. An applicant shall apply for water service through the general manager of the waterworks system and if the applicant is a subdivision, it shall furnish complete drawings for all water facilities to be installed for review and approval of the manager.

    (b)

    Applications for new connections shall be granted only to serve existing improvements or improvements which the applicant is then prepared to erect.
