§ 2-186. Surplus property.

(a)

Unless the city enters into a contract for requiring a different method of disposition, surplus city property shall, at the option of the city manager, be disposed of by one (1) of the following methods:

(1)

Sold competitively.

(2)

Traded in for new equipment.

(b)

Property sold competitively shall be auctioned by the procedure provided under section 2-182 or 2-183 at the option of the city manager.
